Jaipore Xpress, located in Briarcliff at 1116 Pleasantville Rd., celebrated its grand opening on Sunday, July 30, and has already proved to be a hit among customers.

The Briarcliff restaurant is the second Jaipore Xpress to open after the original, located in Fairfield County at 19 Bailey Ave. in Ridgefield.

The eatery offers a "full take on Indian food" and seeks to give visitors an authentic example of Indian culture, according to the business's website.

Menu items offered by the eatery include chicken dishes like chicken tikka masala; lamb dishes such as lamb Rogan Josh, a Persian-influenced curry dish; and vegetarian dishes such as paneer butter masala consisting of cheese dices in smoked bell pepper-infused tomato cream.

The eatery also serves clay-oven cooked dishes like chicken malai kabab, barbecue-style mildly cardamom spiced tenders in a cream cheese marinade.

Visitors of the restaurant have left positive comments regarding both the eatery's food and atmosphere.

"The dinner at JX was sumptuous and the ambiance is cozy and relaxing," commented Aashish G. on the eatery's Facebook page, who also added, "We will definitely come again and are eager to try their lunch specials."

"The food was excellent and the owner was so friendly. I loved the sauces on everything I bought," wrote Jenny M., who also commented, "I look forward to eating here again!"

In addition to dine-in, the eatery offers takeout and delivery. It also features lunch specials Monday to Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
